Beautiful Bride and Groom
On a beautiful December day the sweetest couple said “I Do” in Downtown Historic DeLand!
All the beautiful details
I was so honored to be apart of Andrew & Kelsey’s Christmas week wedding. Kelsey came to me halfway through her wedding planning process. She asked me to take over as the wedding planner. I was so happy to step in ensuring all the vendors, and the venue, were on the same page and ready to turn a classic car garage into Kelsey’s vision of a romantic winter wonderland.
Wedding Ceremony in Historic Downtown DeLand
Kelsey & Andrew had their wedding ceremony at the historic United Methodist Church of Downtown DeLand. This was a beautiful and traditional backdrop for their sacred vows that was large enough to fit all 200 guest!
Here comes the Bride!
For the reception Rachel Kasie Design team did an amazing job of transforming a giant garage into a reception hall that was truly stunning! They draped beautiful white fabric on the walls and made centerpieces filled with both cranberries and candles that floated on top of water, then added greenery as the table runner. Very simple but so stunning!

The venue offered gorgeous farm house tables which transformed the space into something unrecognizable to its original use. Additionally, the catering company Cocktails Catering helped in the transformation with stunning gold chargers and rustic chairs to match the farmhouse tables. The Artisan Alley Garage was truly transformed into a romantic space for all the guests to enjoy.
Sweetheart Table
Since it was Christmas week they chose to have a Christmas tree! My beautiful assistant, Kyndra, helped me to set the tree up and beautifully decorate it. Kelsey used the tree for holding the favors, which were hand painted ornaments, to commemorate the special occasion.
Some other special touches was the beautiful artwork of downtown DeLand with a mat around it for guests to sign for Kelsey and Andrew to keep as a guest book. Custom koozies and jingle bells turned into “kissing bells” for guests to ring when they wanted the couple to kiss were both special touches that made this wedding their own.
Artisan Alley Garage TRANSFORMED!
Finally Husband and Wife
All the guest had a wonderful time dancing the night away to the fabulous local band Hayfire! It was definitely a night to remember for everyone who attended.
Dancing the night away!
Truthfully this was the hardest and most stressful wedding for me as a working mother because a few days before the wedding (Christmas Eve) my son broke his arm. We thought it was a normal break however the day before the wedding, after seeing an orthopedic doctor, they informed us that he would need to have surgery and have pins placed in his arm ASAP. The surgery happened to be the morning of the wedding!! By the grace of God and all the amazing Doctors and nurses my son had a successful surgery at 7:30am. Once he was in recovery I was able to go to the venue and start setup. I’m so beyond thankful for my amazing husband, family, and friends who helped us through those stressful few days. It was a test that a working mother has to face sometimes. I am so thankful this beautiful wedding was a success and my son was on the mend!
