Stylized photo shoot

Since I started my own wedding planning business I have wanted to do a stylized wedding photo shoot to help promote it. It was fate when I casually asked a mutual friend, Angela, who happens to be a fabulous photographer, if she would be interested in partnering with me. She eagerly responded that she had wanted to pursue more wedding photography and thought this would be a great opportunity for her as well! Then the wheels really started turning!

First we needed a model that just happened to have a wedding dress. Who better to ask then my gorgeous newly married cousin, Kyndra, who I was privileged enough to help plan her wedding.  She sweetly said yes. She thought it would be great to have more pictures in her beautiful dress before she preserved it.

I called my dear friend and hairdresser, Lauren, who I have worked with and seen personally do many beautiful braids, up do’s and wedding hairstyles. She generously offered her time and services!

Next was to look for venues. My first thought was, of course, the beach! Living in the Daytona Beach area at “The World’s Most Famous Beach” I knew we would be fools not to highlight it (and go to the secret spots that only the locals know). Another idea was the Halifax River. Unless you live in the Daytona area you really don’t appreciate this river. Since I drive along the prettiest section in Ormond every day, I knew the perfect park!

The final key was talking with my friend Jenni, who, along with her family, own and operate a local craft distillery called Copper Bottom Distillery. The way the Craig Family has remodeled an old laundry mat and turned it into a beautiful distillery and venue for weddings and events was just a perfect addition to our photo shoot. Jenni has a wonderful eye for design and had an amazing vision to do a long tablescape, using a local florist to help with the centerpieces and Jenni’s family china. We all agreed on a vision of a dreamy scene using the colors of pink and gold to highlight.

The day was finally here and I was more than nervous about how it would all come together. When I arrived at Copper Bottom Distillery I knew the day was going to be amazing! Jenni had gone above and beyond with the tablescape! The beautiful pink Depression glass paired perfectly with the florals from Flamingo Floral Creations! It was more perfect then I could have ever imagined. Jenni had also contacted a fabulous local baker, Natty Cakes, and we had a beautiful two tiered cake to match our vision!

When our beautiful bride arrived, we all saw how Lauren had knocked it out of the park with Kyndra’s hair! We were ready to get to work! We had such a fun time arranging Kyndra for different shots, even getting her on top of the bar!!! Overall, Angela was able to capture over 2,000 pictures at all the various locations for all of us to use for our various businesses. Team Work truly does make the Dream Work! The whole shoot was better than I ever could have imagined and I am eternally grateful to all these wonderful ladies who contributed.
